Environmental Limits workshop: what do environmental limits mean in practice? - July 2008A workshop on 'what do environmental limits mean in practice was held on the 3rd July 2008. The workshop was targeted at the environmental, public sector and business communities. It related to the Environment Agency’s involvement in the SW great debates (http://www.swdebates.info/) – ‘ securing economic growth within environmental limits’ Research findings on the practical application of environmental limits, involving the South West was be presented, details of which will appear on this website shortly.
25th June 2008The last meeting of the South West Environmental Modelling Group concentrated on Flooding, Ecological & Renewable Energy Processes and was held on the 25th June 2008 in Plymouth. Notes and presentations can be downloaded here:
January 2008A workshop on Environmental Limits and Sustainable Development in the South West was held on the 18th January 2008. This workshop looked at environmental limits in terms of the environmental view, business view and public sector view. An agenda can be downloaded here.
17th May 2006The 5th meeting of the South West Environmental Modelling Group concentrated on Models for Environmental Management: connecting science & society. Hosted by Bristol University. It was jointly organised by Neil Murdoch (Environment Agency) and Paul Bates (Bristol University). The meeting was well attended by academic, public and private sector representatives. 11th May 2005The 4th meeting of the South West Environmental Modelling Group was held on the 11th May 2005. Hosted by the Dragan Savic (University of Exeter), the meeting was a joint meeting with BHS.
