What are you doing to improve the South West's environment?

Welcome to the South West Earth Chattering map.  We are currently using this site to highlight the pressures facing river catchments, estuaries and coastal waters in Devon and Cornwall, including briefing notes on water quality.  We are also inviting you to take this opportunity to get involved in creating a better place.

How can you help? These are your rivers - there are real opportunities for you and your community to get involved and make a difference by:

  1. sharing what you know about the rivers with us;
  2. telling us what you think is the problem
  3. sharing your ideas about how we can tackle issues affecting these rivers;
  4. getting involved in projects to improve water quality and habitats in this area.

We need your local knowledge of the challenges and ideas of opportunities in the area, so we can improve the quality of this river together. For example:

Opportunities

  • environmental projects you are involved in
  • sharing information and ideas
  • ways to improve water quality
  • habitat creation
  • fishery improvements

Challenges

  • understanding what needs to be done
  • problem sites
  • damaging activities

Tell us your ideas or activities via the form below.
