Networking & collaboration across the South West - who is doing what

SOUTH WEST PROTECTED LANDSCAPES FORUM: http://.www.southwestlandscapes.org.uk/ promotes good practice in protected land management through networking, co-ordination and collaboration. SWPL provides effective and efficient use of learning and knowledge resoruces. SWPL influences regional and national decision-making that impacts on protected landscapes.

LEP NETWORK: http://www.lepnetwork.org.uk/  The LEP Network is a gateway to news and information that enables Local Enterprise Partnerships to come together to discuss issues of shared importance, engage with Government, and share knowledge and good practice.

RDPE NETWORK: www.rdpenetwork.org.uk/your-network  For those with an interest in rural development to share projects, discuss ideas and find out about activities and events in your area. 

GREEN SPACE SOUTH WEST: http://green-space.org.uk/southwest/ is committed to the South Wests parks and green spaces. Green Space SW seeks to provide a united voice dedicated to promoting, advocating and lobbying for the regeneration and sustianable future of quality green paces throughout the South West.  

SOUTHWEST FORUM: http://southwestforum.org.uk/ provides a strong and influential voice for local voluntary and community organisations involved in equalities and marginalised groups at a local level, and to ensure the distinctive voice of the South West social purpose sector is heard at national level.

Green Infrastructure web portal is a central pool of knowledge which will help you find otu what is happening in your area and plan for or manage your green infrastructure for sustainable living:  http://ginsw.org.uk/  The Green Infrastructure web portal was initiated by Green Space South West, Sustainability South West and Natural England. It is now managed by the South West GI Task Group.

Sustainability South West (SSW) is the independent champion body for sustainable development in the South West of England. SSW is an awareness raising and advisory charity supporting action on sustainability http://sustainabilitysouthwest.org.uk/ .  SSW's green infrastructure project Planting Places has announced the ten winners of the 2011 Planting Places Awards, celebrating top examples of greenspace across the South West and recognising the huge array of benefits that these spaces have in supporting healthy, sustianable communities - see www.plantingplaces.org.uk   SSW's Sustainable Health SW project has recently been nominated for national awards for its achievements
